Could I use this on my Discovery or will it only fit on Defender’s?
As with most winches, it is universal, it will fit on just about any make and model of 4×4 or truck.
It fits perfectly on my Disco 300TDI. I have fit with original bumper and universal platform in space between radiator and bumper with minimal adaptation. Is absolutely invisible and fairlead is hidden behind immatriculation plate. I’m really satisfied of winch and honestly I have do a great job there!
Can the solenoid pack be mounted elsewhere (off the winch) to keep the height low?
Yes. The solenoid pack can be mounted off the winch, you are limited by the length of the cables but you could extend these if needed.
