Land Rover originally released the Discovery 3 model with air suspension which enabled the driver to lower and raise the ride height of the vehicle at the touch of a button. A useful feature to use when getting in and out of the vehicle as well as going off-road. However, most people found that they simply chose one setting for the ride height and kept it like that thereafter.
The Discovery 3 Air Suspension was found to be notoriously complex and unreliable. Inevitably being a Discovery 3 owner you would at some point experience a warning light illuminate on the dashboard, warning you that the air suspension had failed or you would find the car fail to raise at all when starting the vehicle. This started to get very tedious to most Land Rover Discovery 3 owners and costly due to the expense of each individual part of the air suspension.
We do hold replacement air pumps, air struts and height sensors but the easiest, cheapest and best long-term worry-free solution to these issues is to replace the entire air suspension with a complete air to coil conversion kit, which consists of four coil spring strut units and a module that prevents the ECU from causing any errors due to the removal of the air suspension and related components.
We offer two air to coil kits, a standard height or a 2” lift kit for people who find themselves frequently off-roading or currently finding themselves setting their current air suspension ride height to the highest setting. Made by Dunlop, both air to coil kits are OEM quality springs and shock absorbers. They are a very popular modification on the Land Rover Discovery 3 that we consistently sell out of. Every time we restock the air to coil kits they fly off they shelf within just a matter of days as people want the peace of mind that they have quality reliable suspension fitted to their Discovery 3.
