The new powertrain in the Extended-Range Plug-in Hybrid Range Rover allows the driver to complete zero emission journeys, with the EV range estimated to deliver 48 miles(1) – pending EPA certification. Land Rover have also explained that the new Extended-Range Plug-in Hybrid Range Rover is one of the fastest plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) currently on the market, providing a rapid 50kW DC charging capability, with up to 80% of the battery charged in under an hour.
Alongside the PHEV, Land Rover are releasing additional engine options, including a Mild-Hybrid 6-cylinder powertrain and a new Twin Turbo V8. All available as either a 4, 5 or 7-seater vehicle across the standard wheelbase and the long wheelbase.
A defining moment for the Special Vehicle Operations team at Land Rover is the release of the New Range Rover SV. A truly remarkable vehicle that encompasses luxury, exquisite craftsmanship, and advanced technology. The new model proudly sits as the pinnacle in the Range Rover family, and now provides the customer with a jaw-dropping choice of over 1.6 million configuration combinations – a personalisation like no other. A 5-bar grille, a unique front bumper and SV laser-etched logo on the side grilles and a ceramic SV white badge on the tailgate distinguish the New Range Rover SV from the rest of the Range Rover family. Available as a standard or long wheelbase model, and for the first time Land Rover have introduced a 5-seater Long Wheelbase option too.
In 2024, Land Rover are set to release the first of their all-electric models, with the New Range Rover as its flagship model. Setting precedence for the rest of the Land Rover family to follow which will help them to achieve their net zero carbon goal by the end of the decade.
