A gearbox flush isn’t something that usually comes to mind as part of regular servicing and maintenance. We usually think of an engine oil change, new tyres, wiper blade, etc. but for some reason not a gearbox flush!
However, just like an engine oil change, your transmission needs regular maintenance to keep your Land Rover running smoothly. As with any hard-working fluid, the gearbox fluid does wear out and degrade.
Our customer came to us with his Range Rover Sport 2.7 TDV6 with 130,000 miles on the clock. We usually recommend a Gearbox Flush around 75,000 miles as a preventative measure. Although the Range Rover wasn’t experiencing any real problems as expected the fluid was brown and worn out.
We added some Dr. Tranny Shudder Fix which is a friction modifier formulated specifically for INSTANTLY eliminating torque converter lock-up shudder. After the Gearbox Flush, the vehicle was running much smoother and the client was more than happy with the service!
